Much like concept cars, which shape the future of the automotive world, superyacht concepts inspire the future of yachting. The Cloud 9 is a 26.4-metre yacht concept developed by British yacht builder Brythonic Yachts in collaboration with emerging interior architect and yacht designer Nour Mouawad. With a silhouette defined by organic shapes and a "soft, bubbly" interior design, this new yacht concept breaks the mold of conventional styling.
Despite its compact size, the yacht stands out with an imposing profile characterized by soft lines mimicking the curves of a calm wave combined with voluptuous, rounded forms. The unconventional exterior design is complemented by a modern, inviting interior, designed by Nour Mouawad, Cristiano Mariani Architect, and Gian Paolo Nari.
The interior, designed to meet the needs of modern yachtsmen, is said to "embrace smooth, flowing lines with no sharp angles, inviting the client into a soft, bubbly world where every detail feels light, fluid, and serene." Proposed materials for the interior spaces include premium textiles, beige onyx, plush carpeting, and reflective surfaces, perfectly paired with ample glazing to create a bright, luminous ambiance.
With a beam size of 5.6 meters (18.3 feet), the Cloud 9 is envisioned with a four-cabin layout, including the owner’s suite, accommodating up to eight guests. Two crew members are housed in a separate cabin, ensuring a high level of service.
The Cloud 9 is designed to accommodate both traditional diesel engines and hybrid electric propulsion systems, reflecting a commitment to sustainability and modern technology. Its construction in composite materials or aluminum ensures durability and efficiency.
As the yacht is still in its early concept stage, any interested clients have the opportunity to collaborate with the designers to create a truly unique vessel tailored to their bespoke requirements.
