Italian designer Mauro Giamboi has introduced a groundbreaking 81.1-meter superyacht concept, named Edge, specifically designed for polar exploration. With a robust steel hull, reinforced bow, and a broad aft deck characteristic of explorer yachts, Edge is built to handle the harshest conditions while maintaining luxury and comfort.

Boasting a range of 6,000 nautical miles, this concept is tailored for remote expeditions. It includes heated railings, specialized navigation systems, an advanced sonar system, and an onboard ROV (remotely operated vehicle) for scientific exploration. Edge is Ice Class certified (Polar Class 6) and complies with IMO Tier III regulations.

The five-deck, 2,450GT vessel features 12 guest cabins and accommodations for 22 crew members, excluding the owner's private deck. This exclusive deck includes a spacious owner’s suite with a private balcony and pool, complemented by a skylounge for entertainment. The yacht also boasts a second skylounge on the upper deck, alongside the wheelhouse and an additional forward-facing pool.

A key highlight of Edge is its expansive main deck aft, which connects seamlessly with the guest and VIP suites. This space features an infinity-edge pool, bar, sunloungers, and fold-down platforms, making the yacht equally suited for tropical cruising. Additionally, the enclosed beach club, equipped with a spa, massage rooms, lounge, and bar, can open onto a terrace for a closer connection with the sea.

The sundeck, accessible via an elevator, offers another social hub with ample lounge areas and a bar. Advanced automation systems enhance the onboard experience, managing lighting, climate control, and entertainment.

Edge is designed for performance, reaching a maximum speed of 18 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots. With a 3.8-meter draught and an 11.6-meter beam, this concept embodies a fusion of adventure, innovation, and luxury.
