Standby: A new design added to Oceanco's Simply Custom line designed by Aberdoni

Following the unveiling of five new interior designs for the Oceanco 80m Simply Custom range, the Dutch yacht builder has unveiled 12 new exterior designs, each designed to meet the different preferences of superyacht owners.

Standby by Valencia-based Spanish designer Jay Aberdoni is one of the designs that stood out.

Standby could be defined by two words: brandy and cigars.

It has a contemporary, sleek profile that highlights a touch of modernity. His design represents a visual boldness, dancing between classic lines and modern, simple surfaces, chasing the perfect balance between the two styles. Between the past and the future.

The simplicity of her design not only achieves an aesthetic beauty, but also enhances the on-board experience. For example, the extensive use of floor-to-ceiling glass guarantees better views of the spaces and more light.

After many years of working at some of the leading yacht design studios, I decided to create Aberdoni, with a vision to redefine the meaning of ‘timeless’. Particularly influenced by architecture and automotive design.

The interior also features a minimal elegant aesthetic with careful details and mainly shades of beige highlighted by hidden lighting.

Design is an emotional profession. It's about dancing with infinity, one created moment at a time.
It's about finding meaning and transforming everyday spaces and ordinary objects into vessels of significance.
