The Greek shipyard Omikron yachts, distinguished for its innovative designs, is moving forward and has already delivered the 3rd 0T60 boat, the fourth will be delivered in April, the fifth is under construction and the sixth will start to be built. At the same time, it announces that two new models, the OT-80 and the Argo 54, are under construction.
The OT-80 represents the next evolution of Omikron's slow yachting philosophy. This initiative was undertaken with the same team that created the OT-60. With designer Lorenzo Argento and naval architect Juan-K returning to collaborate on the new model.
The yacht will "expand on the voyage-centric concept of the OT-60"
"The OT-80 is not just a larger model; it’s putting a magnifying glass on our vision for the sustainable future of yachting," said chairman of Olympic Marine Nikolas Dendrinos. "With expectations set high by our debut model, we are working harder than ever to ensure that all our stakeholders and, most importantly, the future owners of the OT-80 will be thrilled."
The 54-meter superyacht, Argo 54, is going smoothly. As Omikron Yachts delve into the intricate details, all signs point to the Argo 54 setting new benchmarks in both performance and design. Key components, including the impressive 54m mast and 22m boom, are already on site, awaiting assembly.
“The delivery of OT-60’s Hull Number 3, the development of the OT-80, and the progress on Argo 54 all reflect our relentless pursuit of excellence. We are grateful for the collaboration with Lorenzo Argento and the Juan-K office, and we are excited to continue setting new standards in the world of luxury yachting,” comments Nikolas Dendrinos, Chairman of Olympic Marine, parent company of Omikron Yachts.
Between 1969 and the late 90s, the Olympic Yachts shipyard manufactured over 2,000 sailing boats. Starting in 2019, the shipyard underwent a comprehensive renovation, revitalizing its capabilities to design and manufacture contemporary, high-quality boats.
