The latest superyacht concept by the spanish studio Rodriguez Design is called Azua, 63 meters long and designed to meet the needs of a dynamic and younger clientele. Recognizing the evolving profile of superyacht owners, especially those with a penchant for speed and style, Azua combines sportiness with elegance, promising an unparalleled experience.

The superyacht concept is to be built with a steel hull and an aluminum superstructure, Azua will be powered by two MTU engines, giving her a top speed of 22 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots, with a range of 4,000 nautical miles.

External configuration

The exterior design of the superyacht Azua features a generous beach club, with a large swim platform, allowing easy access to the sea. A comfortable saloon, a bar and two 4.5m folding balconies located on either side to enhance the sense of privacy on board. The main deck features a spacious seating area, while the aft upper deck features alfresco dining and comfortable sun loungers. Azua will also feature a large Jacuzzi located on the yacht's sundeck.

The exteriors of the four-deck yacht will be dark grey, contrasting with the "modern and elegant" interiors created by Ignacio Rodriguez.

Ignacio Rodriguez, chief interior designer at Rodriguez Design, commented on the interior design inspiration saying, “For the interior design, we took a more elegant and modern approach. The use of rose gold accents combined with light wood and pastel colors matched with darker cushions to create a relaxed and welcoming area where the owners can feel at home.”

Azua will accommodate up to 10 guests in her five luxurious cabins, consisting of two VIP and one owner's suite located on the main deck and two double cabins on the lower deck.

The main salon on the main deck seamlessly integrates the sitting/TV area with the dining area, enhancing the natural light and openness of the space. Two opposing sofas and a fixed TV unit define the area, leading to a dining area for 12 people. Moving inside reveals the full beam owner's cabin, with warm rose gold accents and LED lights. Descending to the lower deck reveals the guest cabins, while forward is the crew accommodation.

The upper deck houses an observation lounge/saloon, providing privacy for movie nights or video games. Floor-to-ceiling corner windows offer 270-degree views, complemented by a lower bulwark for enhanced exterior views. Forward navigation leads to the captain's cabin and wheelhouse.

"The idea behind Azua was to develop a concept that would appeal to all audiences: sporty yet elegant, discreet yet flashy. Ideal for new owners looking for the thrills of a fast boat and the comforts of a superyacht" comments Josh Rodriguez, owner of Rodriguez Design
