V6 is a 48.53m / 159′3″ luxury motor yacht built by Flyghtship Construction in 2007. V6 has an exterior design by Pieter Beeldsnijder Design and an interior design by Anthony Bedford Design. She is powered by 2 Wärtsilä engines, which give her a top speed of 15 kn.

A feature of the V6 is its spacious helipad, as well as the helicopter's storage area.

Helipads on superyachts are built using strong materials to withstand the weight and impact of the helicopters, with a hangar to store the aircraft out of sight and safe from rough weather.

Landing a helicopter on a yacht requires careful consideration of weather conditions and safety measures, with maintenance and servicing necessary to ensure the safety of both the helicopter and the yacht.

Prior to landing, the yacht must remain stationary, with its nose into the wind to reduce relative wind speeds, and helipads are coordinated to accommodate helicopters in accordance with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) conditions. The helipad must be clear of any obstructions and the crew must ensure that any objects or debris that may pose a landing hazard are removed from the deck area.

Before the helicopter enters the storage area, the crew must fold the main rotor blades.

After that, they open the hidden storage built into the deck of the superyacht.

The helicopter is then carefully secured to the platform inside the hidden storage.

At the push of a button, the platform can be lowered and raised.

It's a complex process that aims to prioritize security while seamlessly integrating two powerful modes of transportation.
