Miminat Designs, a London-based interior architecture and design studio, has revealed new images of a stunning concept superyacht simply called "K" that breaks away from traditional designs and proposes a new approach to yacht design with a focus on "simplicity, harmony and the natural elements".
Founded by British-Nigerian artist and designer Miminat Shodeinde, Miminat Designs focuses primarily on creating functional art and elegant interiors for both residential and commercial structures, with her work described as "contradictory in some ways - brutalist, but and soft and feminine in some elements."
Concept K is the first superyacht project unveiled by the British studio and impresses with its elegance, sculptural hull and ultra-modern interior. It is a unique design that looks luxurious and sophisticated.
In terms of accommodation, at 300 GT, the yacht includes an owner's suite on the main deck, while a luxurious VIP cabin is located below deck. Three double or twin cabins and crew quarters suitable for accommodating up to six crew members are also available.
The decor is modern with a combination of leather and wood and exudes warmth and creates a sophisticated effect.
The main salon has a glass-walled spiral staircase as a focal point, along with a Japanese-inspired lounge, a sit-up bar with ocean views and a formal dining room for up to 10 people.
The living room includes a fancy circular sofa and is adjacent to an equally impressive formal dining room surrounded by large windows. Above the dining table, there is a signature lamp that appears to have been taken from the recent Borris collection of lighting and furniture designs by Minimat, which experiments with movement and stillness. In fact, all the furniture on the yacht is unique and made in the studio in London.
There is also an inviting outdoor area in the bow with sun beds, various seating options and a firepit. The sundeck is also an ideal place for entertaining and socializing, equipped with a barbecue and dining area.
Images for this concept show a 131-foot (40-meter) vessel with a sleek silhouette that combines silver and black design elements and a mix of curved lines and sharp edges that evoke a sense of dynamism on the water.
The concept has several engine options, with an expected top speed of 25 knots and a cruising speed of 16 knots.
